throughout the world
The Veneto Foreign Trade Centre was set up in 1968 as
a non-profit-making regional agency to support small
and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their quest to
become leading players on foreign markets.
IN VENETO, the Foreign Trade Centre is of course linked
to the seven Chambers of Commerce, to the Regional Government,
to all business Associations and their service organisations,
to local Authorities, to the Universities and to various
credit Institutions.
AT NATIONAL LEVEL, the Centre co-operates actively with
the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade, Unioncamere
- Italian Union of the Chambers of Commerce and its
associated organizations.
IN EUROPE, the Foreign Trade Centre enjoys a special
relationship with the European Union through the offices
of the EIC - Euro Info Centre IT378. This means that
the Centre is able to use on-line EU information and
databases and also obtain updated information from Brussels
via its special department situated in the heart of
the Belgian capital. The Centre also has a special relationship
with Eurochambres, the European Association of Chambers
of Commerce.
THROUGHOUT THE WORLD, the Veneto Foreign Centre has
close co-operative agreements with Industry Federations,
Trade Associations, SMEs development organisations,
local Chambers of Commerce and Government Agencies in
all the areas where companies from Veneto have forged
business links.
The Centre works with the Italian Chambers of Commerce
in other countries and with the Italian Institute for
Foreign Trade to promote the Veneto business system
and serve its SMEs better within the new increasingly
international business context.
